ABOUT ME

WELCOME TO ISR EAST ORLANDO

I am so glad you are here.

My name is Jennifer and I am a specialized instructor with over 15 years experience.  The minute I saw the Infant Swimming Resource program, I knew saving the lives of children was my destiny.

What could be better than working with infants and toddlers, and teaching them life saving skills?  What these kids can learn has amazed me, and continues to amaze me today.

I first became trained as an ISR instructor in 2004 with the Central Florida YMCA.  The Y was my home for many years until we hit this pandemic.

As with many families, changes with jobs came about and different paths needed to be chosen.  I am grateful that I have specialized training, years of experience and support from family and friends to peruse my teaching career.

Being in the water and swimming was a joy my parents instilled in me as a young child.  Growing up in northern Indiana, there were not many opportunities for swimming outside, yet my parents made sure they found access to an indoor pool as often as they could.

Each summer we would also spend weeks at my grandparents lake cottage swim and sunbathing with not a care in the world.

My first job at 16 I enjoyed life-guarding and swim instructor responsibilities.  This was a job that would lead me on my aquatic path.

I was able to continue teaching and life-guarding through high school, college, and then the YMCA.  I graduated in December of 2003 with a BS in Sports and Fitness and used this to help guide my career in aquatics at the YMCA.

Twenty years later, 2 kids, and a pandemic; I am now proudly pursuing my own life saving business.

I look forward to meeting lots of new families, and saving even more lives.
